“In its documentary Extraordinary Animals In The Womb, National Geographic captured rare highly detailed images of animals at various stages of gestation. Now you can see fetal dog, elephants, penguins, and dolphins still inside the womb.”
“Extraordinary Animals In The Womb aired last year, using advances in scanning and imaging technology to trace the gestational paths of animals outside the human family. The documentary footage is actually a combination of digital photography, scans, and computer-generated models. The filmmakers took detailed scans of the animal’s wombs, then had the model makers recreate every blood vessel and whisker. The resulting images, while not direct photographs, are, according to the researchers, accurate representations of what goes on inside these creatures’ wombs.”

“With all the malls and retail spaces dotting the American landscape, ruined malls could someday stand as memorials to modern society. Photographer Brian Ulrich documents abandoned and neglected retail spaces, including many that have already fallen into decay.”
“The more immaculate of these malls evoke the nation of ghost malls Cory Doctorow imagines in his recent book Makers, or seem ripe for zombies. But the decaying images offer possible glimpses of America’s eventual ruins.”

“Passengers of economy and business class enter the plane through the different jet bridges. Economy class passengers are on the first floor while the business and first class passengers are on the second. All the passengers are given comfy socks, sleep masks and stickers to notify the flight attendants of when to be woken up. The seats can be folded out to a full-length coach and if you are 6 and half feet high, it won’t be a problem to stretch your legs.”
“17-inch touch screen monitor, an outlet, 2 USB ports and remote with a sat-phone included. Also, there is a personal remote for each seat which controls the seat massage, lighting and seat position.”
“Also on the second floor there are 2 bathrooms and 2 bar-rooms. 10 restrooms on the first floor and five on the second. Furthermore, there are 2 sets of stairs: A grand and winding staircase.”

“In February 2007 Martin Strel began an insane attempt to be the first person to swim the entire length of the worlds most dangerous river, the Amazon. The Fish Man, as he was called by the local tribes, almost died in the process several times. Towards the end of his marathon ordeal his blood pressure was at heart attack levels, his entire body full of subcutaneous larvae and besieged by dehydration, diarrhoea and exhaustion.”
“Director John Maringouin set out to make an environmentally aware documentary about an eccentric, larger than life Slovenian swimmer. He ended up journeying deep into oppressively remote Amazonia, following Martin and his team into their own Heart Of Darkness as they descend into a nightmare of illness and insanity.”
Amazing film.
