Save space with Resource Furniture

Intelligent and aesthetically pleasing furniture transforms even the tiniest apartment or studio into a functional and comfortable living environment, and with room to spare!

“New-York-based Resource Furniture distributes Italian brand Clei and other European furniture manufacturers. The products Resource Furniture offers have a high level of design and engineering, with no compromises; there are no lumpy futon mattresses or ‘Grab lever A while holding switch B, then pull lever C’ complications. The engineering is completely invisible, as it ought to be, the transformations do not require science backgrounds to execute, and each piece serves each of its dual functions as well as if it were a standalone. On top of that, they look good.”

Nestrest

“Designed by Daniel Pouzet and Fred Frety, the Nestrest hanging lounger is made of DeDon fiber weaved to provide sturdiness, durability and privacy. There’s even a wide variety of colors, patterns, and options to personalize it to your locale. The Nestrest can be hung from a tree, perched on an outlook, or placed on the ground in your backyard or patio for an instant getaway. Make it a destination for reading, drinking or just soaking in a moment of solitude.”

Couch Cushion Architecture

Who wasn’t a fan of building couch fortifications?

“Unrepresented and ignored for too long in the architectural industry, today’s post pays respect to the wonders of couch cushion architecture. We’ve rounded up a (mostly) admirable collection of projects, taken from a randomly conducted search on the internet.”   source

Cartoon Furniture

“Dust Furniture is a collection of studio furniture from craft artist Vincent Thomas Leman.  Vincent has built one-of-a-kind pieces for years, but released this line  to accommodate the demand for  reproducible versions of his work. A key part of Vincent’s creation process is the integration of function into the form.  He strives to create furniture that is functional to the degree that it may be successfully integrated into daily life, yet–equally important–provides a spark to brighten the routine of daily life. He finds joy in discovering new ways to mix art and life, and to make it accessible.” View more furniture pieces here.

Hacked IKEA iMac Computer Desk

Gérard from The Netherlands has a sleek solution for his iMac. “My Apple iMac obstructed our dinner table for a year. My wife did not make much of it. To please her I did a little Ikea hacking. I bought a Ludvig Laptop shelf/charging station. And a Ludvig Router/modem wall cabinet. I used the wall cabinet as computer stand and the laptop shelf for my keyboard and mouse. Both Ludvigs have nice compartments for various stuff (Hard drives, headset, DVD’s etc.) The set is complemented with a Vitamin stool. When not in use the shelf is put to rest and the computer is not in the way. I think it is a nice hack and my wife is pleased. Mission accomplished.”  source
